I have just received a text message from Encik Md Sha'ani, the Secretary General of FOMCA. From what I have been made to understand, the Bar Council of Malaysia will be organising a march from the Palaca of Justice, Putrajaya, to the Prime Minister's Office. There, they will hand a memorandum calling for a Royal Commission to investigate VK Lingam's video. I still do not have the full details as yet but it can't get far from the below:
MEMORANDUM FOR ROYAL COMMISSION - VK Lingam's Video.
Date: September 26, 2007
Time: 11am
Venue: Palace of Justice, Putrajaya
All Malaysians are invited to join the march. Kindly spread this far and wide. Thank you.

I've watched the alleged video recording.. but I never quite understood which part is regarded as corruption.. haih.. still naive I suppose
Minci, the judiciary is supposed to be free from outside influence. Once an outside party has vested interest and tries or succeed in to intervene in its affair, than the very foundation of it is tainted.
Ok, let me try to put it in medical-insurance term.
For the past few years, there have been many complaints from the public (especially in US) where hospitals give priority treatment to patients with medical insurance. This practice is seen to be going overboard when patients are sometime subjected to unnecessary costly procedures simply because they are covered by insurance, when the medical fraternity should actually be looking into the client's interest first?
The above is mentioned with due respects to medical professionals who remain steadfast in their oaths.
ah.. I remember now.. the 3 'bodies' which should be 'independent'
- judiciary
- suruhanjaya pilihanraya
- raja
learnt that in history but has forgotten...
Close enough; its actually Executive, Legislative and Judiciary.
