Missing in Action

After 6 years of sending news almost every working day, the results of the PRU12 have made several people including yours truly somewhat lost! No, I am not referring to those lilliputians and the allies, but those like me, who spent hours each day working on the PC to get news out to Malaysians. The casualties on our front have been several precious few, including Pak Ngah, who passed away quite recently. There may have been many more, but since we work almost entirely alone, we never did get to know each other personally. But we were - similar to what Doc mentioned what he had done - the pioneers on this battle front. And though the war is far from over, those of us still remaining have sort of become disoriented.

I saw this WWII film 'The Battle of The Bulge' which Robert Shaw starred as a Nazi General. The film, was an enactment of a true battle which Nazi Germany had initiated to delay the Allies on their western front. The Germans took the Allies by surprise and gained huge grounds, and they were confident that the battle would be turn the tide for them. Their confidence - along with their remaining army - soon took a battering when the Allies regrouped themselves and launched counter attacks. Soon, the toll began to tell as the Germans - facing a severe shortage of men, equipment and supplies - had to retreat to the other side of the German border.

In the movie, the commanding officer of an SS Panzer Division, had an ambition of not winning the war then, but to prolong it. As - what he said in the movie - he was a professional soldier, and professional soldiers live for wars, and not peace. I can't say whether this part of the movie is history, but towards the end of it he died. Ironically, the battle did not save Germany, but brought a bigger catastrophe as more than half of the once great nation were conquered by the mighty Soviet Army, and along with it, the entire eastern Europe.

What I mean to say here is, the 6years I have been active on-line is a bloody long time. And as mentioned earlier, though the war is far from over, the results of PRU12 has left many on-line activists disoriented but perhaps, for the moment. When I mean by on-line activists here, are not the political bloggers and writers, but those who send news and information, many a times even plucking from those same said political bloggers. And many of these on-line activists are now plain tired.

Just prior to PRU12, some friends who attended the PACA training in Gombak, were told that the next SPR Chief is a bigger devil than the reigning one. Perhaps, the reason why the current chief's contract was extended was to pull wool over the public eyes. As Rashid is expected to retire soon, the new chief will supposedly come with a new clean slate. But as a devil that had been said about him, he will work doubly hard to be meaner and dirtier, just to give the lilliputians a victory.

Likewise with the lilliputians: the man from Pekan can be the worse tyrant Malaysia will ever know. With their General Assembly and office elections bound for this year, their ranks may be further weakened with dissensions amongst their very own. And should the man from Pekan takes the leadership, there will be no doubt he will wield his iron fist, putting many under the ISA at the same time. This man who has never tasted life as an ordinary citizen - knowing the economic hardships and of escalating inflation - will be portrayed as a man of the people and for the people. How could this be?

Earlier today when the Press questioned his links to the Altantuya murder trial, the PM dared to mention "there is no proof". Well, damn you PM! Damn you Najib! And damn you who support them either blindly or not! Have you then forgotten those many who still languish in Kamunting under ISA charges and all because the government could not gather sufficient proof? Incarcerate Najib under the ISA then!

No! No matter how tired one may be, the struggle still has to continue.

I have forgotten the names of 3 Sahabat of Rasulullah s.a.w. who were martyred in a battle, and even the actual details. But I will try to write the accounts as I remember. The first, a Standard Bearer, was killed by an arrow. As his body falls limp to the ground, another came to hold the flag of Islam waving, but he too was killed. Then another came and held the flagpole, but an enemy severed his right hand. He then held the flagpole with left, and that too was severed. Using the bloody stumps of both hands, he held his position. But the enemy was all around him and they severed both his legs and he fell - martyred in battle in a seemingly simple but courageous act of keeping the flag of Islam high.

Though we may never be able to equal the 3, insyAllah, we will try our best to continue this struggle. If we fall, there will always be another to replace us. We understand fully well that we are dispensable; but to those lilliputians and their allies, do you?

ps. On PRU13, my personal belief is that it will be held sometime within 24-36 months from now. I have only 2 theories for this belief for now:

1. The lilliputians will try their damnest to delay any BA projects within the 5 states from coming into fruition. This, will be their battle cry then that the BA has failed to deliver!

2. They intend to catch the BA flatfooted.

But as I mentioned, it is only my personal belief.

ps ps. I almost forgot to mention: the only reason for this entry is because several have asked about my 'disappearance' and have listed me as a Missing in Action case. :)

Yes, Pardon Me; We Are Amateurs.

It was during the Press Conference given by Tan Sri Khalid that I saw her again. Her features are unmistakable for anyone else for though she is a lady, she has strong features that from a distance, anyone may think otherwise. Except for the presence of her long hair. But that, is still arguable to some.

As the room was packed with journalists and crew members, I chose to sit and listen from outside. If one remember well those sardine-packed mini-buses in KL especially during rainy days where all the windows are shut, then one would have followed the steps I did - just to show the fact how packed, stuffy and humid the room was even with air-conditioner at full blast. And it was while sitting there that I noticed her.

She was late for the PC and the room was filled to the brim by then. So she stood outside where I was while leaning her arse on the table where I sat. I recognised her instantly but she did not me. And the moment she turned her face my way and mumbled something which I could not make out, I quipped "You don't remember me do you?"

She gave me a long look and shook her head "No, I'm sorry I don't. Have we met?"

Sometime early in 2006, Wak and I covered the International Islamic Fair at the PWTC. As there were many prominent people around from all over the Muslim world, the organisers had arranged for the Media to hold interviews and Press Conferences, and had even kindly alloted the Media with a room to rest or do their write-up. It was while in the room that we met.

"Yes,"I replied "in PWTC during the IIF."
"IIF? No, it could not have been me, I don't do those stuff" she said back.
"No, you may not. But you were there for some interviews and PC's, including one with Tun Dr M" I mentioned.
That got her head nodding and she gave me another look while I continued on about the day in PWTC.
"I remember you well as you sneered at me when we were introduced" I told her. That, had her whole body turning to face me.

While exchanging information with some journalist from Bernama as well as an Islamic magazine, the lady came to our table and sat across me. She then introduced herself as we did with her. But when I mentioned about webtv8 and that we were volunteers, her face strangely became contorted and she let out "Huh! Don't you fool me! There's no such thing as volunteers in this world!"
I repeated my words and added "You don't have to believe if you don't want to", and left the table.

Several minutes later, Roslan arrived with Dato' Hassan Ali and Suwandi, on behalf of PAS Selangor. While Dato' was ushered into the room, Roslan and Suawandi stayed outside. It was then I pointed out Roslan to her. The contorted face she made at PWTC, she repeated it again, knowing full well the Roslan I pointed out was Roslan SMS. Then she said to me "We in the mainstream media know more about Malaysia than you guys. So please, don't try to change the world" (the last part is not verbatim but to that effect, and she meant bloggers and webtv8, including all the alternative media).

However not long afterwards, I saw her introducing herself to Roslan and trying to chat him up. In such circumstance, I could not help but snicker and said to myself "Amaterus, are we?"

A Call For...Unity?

Of late since the results of the PRU12 were announced, several people have been sending messages to several various yahoo groups and even to personal addresses, for a call to unite the Malays in Malaysia who are perceived to be under threat from...I have no idea who! After reading several exchanges, my rely to those who sent such call is this: "Bull!"

When one read the email, it looks like a genuine call. But, that is only on the surface. When one take into accounts of the GE results and the happenings just prior to it, perhaps one would wonder why such call are made only now and not before? In fact, Najib himself had boasted in Kelantan that this 2008 (PRU12), will be the year to 'treat' Kelantan (the exact words he used was 'merawat'). In other words, he was confident that Be End would capture Kelantan, and the Kelantan PAS State Government was heavily sieged from all angles, primarily the mass media. In Selangor, Khir Toyo has repeatedly made calls for there to be zero opposition almost in the same manner he declared Selangor to be zero squatter population. In both instance, the words put out by these 2 top goons hinted that there will be no quarters, no mercy, to be given to the opposition. It is as though the opposition - primarily PAS - is a much hated enemy. Were there any hints of reconciliation then? No! Why then, are such calls echoed by a small handful then? Perhaps one need to examine the whole scenario before replying. But to me, it is simply to save those lilliputians and not for the sake of either the Malays, nor of Malaysia.

Kindly do not forget too, PAS and PKR have been working towards this GE for quite sometime now. And though the leaders of DAP are not too kind with PAS, the grassroots supporters of both parties have no trouble working towards a common cause, which is 1) to free the minds of Malaysian from the yoke of those lilliputians and Be End; 2) to deny the 2/3 majority the Be End have enjoyed in the past (in many past elections via unfair and undemocratic tactics); 3) to wrest the government from Be End if possible. The PRU12 results has shown we may have succeeded in at least one - to deny the 2/3 majority which Be End have abused in the past!

Enough of what I think. Please read through the email exchange below and judge for yourself.

A Criminal Act?

When I put up my previous entry, I thought I did not want to write anything about the just concluded PRU12 anymore till a later time. But circumstances forced me otherwise. Thus forgive me if you do find it a bore.

Earlier this afternoon, PAS President held a Press Conference in Bangunan PAS, Kuala Lumpur. As usual, Wak and I arrived early but was surprised that there were many more journalists earlier than us. And for the first time since PAS Pusat moved into the building, or perhaps the times I attended a PC, RTM was present along with Sinar Harian, an umno daily tabloid.

As usual before the PC begins, journalists and crew members mixed around - some to reacquaint or get to know, while others trying to snoop on each other latest news, as did that reporter wannabe cakapaje.

After getting to know the Sinar Harian reporter, cakapaje then found himself in a conversation with reporters from TV PAS and a Chinese newspaper. Cakapaje then pointblank asked about the incident at the Selangor SUK Building as it was reported by the Chinese newspaper, and the reporter confirm it as true.

I now put the report which was made available at Laman M@ARHAEN as well as NYMHM below for wider exposure.

Selangor State Officers Destroy Documents …Sulit! -
By Koh Kho King Laman M@RHAEN
Just read the news in Sin Chew Jit Poh today…

Selangor State’s Officers were in the process of destroying some confidential (Sulit) documents when cleaning and tidying up preparing to leave the administration office and hand over the control to the new Opposites (Barisan Rakyat) new state government.

PKR and DAP members rush to the scene to stop the destroying process…but some have already been shredded.

(picture from Sin Chew Jit Poh)

According to PKR and DAP, all documents are government’s properties, NOT ALLOW to be destroyed! A mess in the office after the stopping…

(picture from Sin Chew Jit Poh)

Selangor treasury official later explained, the destroyed documents are “copies”, must be settled and the “Original” are still kept safe.

Back To Life...

Some many years ago, several friends and cakapaje took a trip to...hmm, can't remember whether it was Tioman or Sibu Island. OK, we did went to both on different occasions but the one I meant to partly write about was...one of them. Hey! Its been so long you can't really expect me to remember every single detail! I mean, if it was a crime, I am quite sure it would have passed the 'statue of limitations'; if it was a crime-lah!

Anyway, after 4 days of lazing in the sun, snorkeling, night-fishing and mouth-gaping in awe at the wonders Allah s.w.t. have created, we took a fishing boat for the 2hours ride back to Mersing, and the mainland. The clouds looked dark and heavy, and even the single boatman who was to captain the small boat had a worried look on his face. But us landlubbers, what do we know?

As soon as the boat got into way, we waved silently to the island and Nasbah - one of the friends who came along - began singing a tune which had all of us following. Almost halfway through however, the sea began rolling high and violent, and the clouds looked like it was about to burst. Then the unthinkable happened - the boat's engine went dead! The party of friends began looking at each other not knowing what to say or do; we had within our midst, ARAB and his wife who was 4 months pregnant! Then almost simultaneously, everyone's attention focused on the boatman who was taking off his life vest and tying a rope around his waist. "Oh, oh!" our minds must have went.

Now, a dead calm situation this certainly was not. With the engine dead, the boat was without propulsion to ride the waves - it was, a dead scary situation to be in. By that time, the boatman had jumped into the water and disappeared under the boat leaving us death-pale. Several times during the boatman's absence, the boat was raised high by the waves. Then like a ride on a roller coaster, the wave took us way down and all around us, the sea suddenly became several stories high! A friend began throwing up, his face green and scared. Everyone must have silently began praying then. At the same time, my mind raced back to all the true life stories I have read of people being adrift at sea. Foremost on my mind was what to do and what not to do should the waves turn the boat over; visions of shark attacks began playing and replaying. And I was, scared shit!

Alhamdulillah, the boatman then surfaced and began clambering on the boat. With a smile on his face he said "Nothing to worry about, it was just some seaweed caught in the propeller." Nothing to worry about? For each of us landlubbers there, that 5 or so minutes was like eternity already! But Alhamdulillah again, the engine was restarted and we were back on our way.

Once we reached land - I cannot remember who - but one of us did prostrate and kissed the earth. And we did thanked the boatman who only smiled back as though it was a normal thing for him. Perhaps it was. But for cakapaje and his friends, that, was a boat ride we will never forget, insyAllah.

Back to the present day and with the PRU12 over, those elected into office must now adjust their life and work harder to uphold their promises. While for the rest of us, its back to our normal life.

Lest We Forget

Assalamu'alaikum warahmatullah hi wabarakatuh,

BismillahirRahmanirRahim,

Peace be upon the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.,

In all humbleness, I seek forgiveness from all my friends in the blogging world and as well to any visitors to my blog. I honestly do not think I have the right to write what my heart wants me to, but feel compelled to do so.

All praises to Allah s.w.t., for what was thought by many impossible to achieve, has been achieved. It has been a hard fought battle for all and though many are overjoyed, there are many who are wary of the victory, and yet many more who are feeling the strain of the battle. For those who feel the need to celebrate, please do so but within the constrains of Islam. But as you do so, please remember, this was only a battle and that there is still a war waging. And remember too, that this battle we won today was not fought over 4 long years previous to this day, or 9 since the 1999 General Elections; this victory achieved today was fought for since before Merdeka Day in August, 1957. This was foremost a victory to free the minds of Malaysians from the yoke of colonialism by not only the European powers who were here long ago, but also the colonialism of UMNO and their allies. And remember again please, this was just a step towards the removal of a hurdle, and that there many more - either in wait or thrown in - in the days to come; Do not be overzealous with this victory, nor in the pursuit of another.

For those elected - and as a reminder to myself and everyone - I put here words of Khalifah Abu Bakar (r.a.) soon after he was elected "I have been elected your Ameer, although I am not better than you. Help me if I am in the right; and set me right, if I am in the wrong".

At the same time, I put here an entry taken from Ustaz Zaharuddin (mohon izin Ustaz).

Wassalamu'alaikum warahmatullah hi wabarakatuh.

Tahniah Bagi Mereka Yang

Menang & Peringatan

Oleh

Keputusan & Nasihat

Jawatankuasa Hisbah Pastikan Ketepatan

Sekian

Counting Minutes

As I write, the Alternative PAS-PKR-DAP has wrested Penang from the oppressive Be End, Allah Akkbar! Some 100 meters from my house, PKR had rented one of the shophouses there and turned it into their base for this area; every now and then, I can hear their cheers and jeers as results are announced, much like in a soccer game. But this is no game. The results of this General Election has a direct influence on the future of Malaysia. And insyAllah, it will be for the better, which ever way you look at it.

At the same time, TV3 - which has not been watched in this house for more than a month now - is continuously harping on BN victories in other seats, and hardly touching on Alternative's victories; a case of trying to delay the inevitable, perhaps. Take for example in Kelantan, PAS has, at this current time, won 31 out of the 45 State Assembly Seats there. Yet, the mainstream media are mulling over the results, as though that very action could affect the results there.

I am excited about the future prospects of Malaysia as I guess, many Malaysian are too. Let us all - irrespective of our political stand and belief - pray that the results will augur well for Malaysia.

Lunch Break

I am on a lunch break after video-shooting some 7 locations around KL and Paya Jaras since 830am. Began the day with taking video-shots of Doctor Lo'Lo' casting her vote. The voter turn-out was nothing extraordinary this morning, but it is expected to be phenomenal later late this afternoon, perhaps a repeat of the 2004 PRU11 where SPR illegally extended the voting hours in Selangor to 7pm.

Whilst driving to Jalan Semarak, news on the radio predicted showers in the afternoon and suggested voters to cast their vote in the morning. The same warning was issued in 2004, as well as the by-election in Ijok. On both occasions, cases of phantom voters were reported. It should not be surprising then for the situation to repeat itself again this time. Hopefully though, we will be more prepared, insyAllah.

Will update later. Pray for Malaysia.

Breaking News, It Is Not!

In between my nightly routine, I received a text message.

Earlier this morning I text Amin @ Black, asking about the outcome of the debate between Chegubard and that infamous son in law that was supposed to take place late last night in Rembau, N9. Amin did not reply immediately and I thought he was occupied - he was!

Only about an hour ago Amin did finally reply mentioning the debate was postponed to 8.30pm, March 6 - tonight! But till about 10.30pm, the infamous s-i-l, proved to the world that he is not only a langau - buzzing the air endlessly - but, he is also a coward; he did not show up at all! And that, is the man who aspire to be the PM of Malaysia by the age of 40? Kirim salam je lah!

A Fitnah Backfired!

I have just put down the telephone after a conversation with Roslan of Roslan SMS Corner. At the time I called him, he had just stepped out of the Dang Wangi Police Station, after making a counter-charge against Berita Harian, for carrying a slander against him personally, and PAS. Roslan, after being advised by several lawyer-friends, will be taking Civil Action against Berita Harian soon after the PRU12. The story - still sketchy in my mind - are as follows.

Several days earlier, soon after PAS Daily Press Conference at Bangunan PAS, a Berita Harian reporter had a one-on-one interview with Roslan. During the course of the interview, Roslan laid out PAS action plans which the reporter, an Azman Mahmood, who recorded it on paper as well on tape. When it was over, none at the office (I have to stress here that I was not present, for fear that it might give a wrong impression), thought anymore of the interview...until Berita Harian splashed the news "PAS Sedia Menggunakan Keganasan!" (PAS, Ready To Use Violence!).

The news attracted the IGP's attention (you can follow the chronology at Roslan's blog), and during the PAS DPC yesterday, Roslan officially responded to the IGP's statement which can be viewed on the 3rd page of PAS Press Release for the day here. However, it seems a Police Report was made against him in Terengganu by people unknown, and later in the afternoon just before he left the office, 3 Police Officers with the ranks of ACP all of them, visited Roslan in his office to begin investigations.

With his casual cool manner, Roslan laid out everything that transpired, which is a far cry from the story that was published and the Police Report made. And thanks to his quick thinking, Roslan requested the officers to listen to the reporter's own tape, in which they later did. The reporter - an amenoist with brains of, what else, a lilliputian - had not erased the tape and the whole story now has backfired on him, Berita Harian, and the persons who lodged the report in Terengganu. Though the Police has yet to close the book, insyAllah, the truth will prevail. Allah Akbar!

Now, this reminds me of an Arab proverb: "He who digs a grave for his brother, will he himself fall into it."

Off note: I have asked Roslan to lay a suit of RM10 million against the parties concerned, and asked for 10%...so gua boleh kahwin lah lepas ni! Yeeeha! :p

ps. Ini macam niaga lagi untung dari niaga unta!

Short take

I do love it when everyone's abuzz about something and everyone - most especially that clown whose writing you are reading now - gives out their opinion about almost everything under the sun and yet, a matter most consider trivial but in fact is the most important is not mentioned.

Take this PRU12 for example. We have the goonies Be End and ameno campaigning non-stop about how important they are to the people of Malaysia. On the other side of the fence, you have the opposition parties - that cakapaje clown included - who is hell bent in burying Be End and ameno alive in a pit filled with vipers, cobras, gila monsters and what not. Everyone is so preoccupied about one thing or another, that the most important thing is forgotten...until I came across this email from a lady; she simply wrote:

"nak ngundi?
jgn lupa....bawa diri sendiri
jgn lupa....bawa yg penting ini tauuuuuuuuuuu. ."

No More A Poser.

I was about to write about 2 Press Conferences - PAS Daily PC, and BERSIH's PC - which was held one after another at Bangunan PAS earlier today, and was searching for the video either from webtv8 or Malaysiakini but could not find any. Instead, I found this 'interesting' video. However, before I touch on the video matter, please read the 2 Press Releases above here and here.

I find the oration given by this infamous character which I had just mentioned in my previous entry as very, very, 'interesting'! Before you read my humble comments, please, watch the Malaysiakini video first. But a word of caution: If you are one who can easily get the nausea simply by watching those big green flies which the Malays call 'Langau', kindly refrain from watching.

Touching on the comment that PAS Kelantan State Government is the most corrupt government in Malaysia, he could not offer any proof to substantiate his claims. He did try though, by mentioning the Gua Musang Constituency and the Lojing Forest Reserve Scandal. Only that, he seem to have forgotten that

1. Gua Musang Constituency is under the Be End banner, and has been so for close to 30 years now.
2. Lojing Forest Reserve is mainly a Federal Land issue as it falls directly under the Federal Government; and who is the Federal Government? And did not the issue die down almost as sudden as it was brought up? It did, because by then they realise on which side of the mountain was the illegal logging conducted - the Federal Land!

For the umpteenth time now, I again stress that I am not a religious scholar. But watching the video reminded me of a certain character which has been described is several hadiths. If I remember it right, it was mentioned that towards the end of time there will be a man who walks the earth carrying a 'dacing', and inviting people to follow his way, and convincing them that it is their only salvation. Now, I am not saying this shady character in the video is that man, but he does come close.

I Heard It Through The Grapevine

One of the things I hate when I follow Wak on assignments, is that my role is reduced to that of prop-carrying clown. I mean honestly, how else can one best describe a 5foot 3 bespectacled short hair guy moving around in a Docker's lookalike and wearing a black vest that is supposed to signify something which for all intent and purpose is meant to advertise our presence, but make me look like some 1960's hippie hurled forward in time to the 21st Century? It makes me feel like Gil Gerrard in Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, you know what I mean? But hey, that guy was a celebrity there; both, in the 25th Century and the 20th! And he had that wowie looking Erin Grey to accompany him too, while the only wowie for me is somewhere near the Atlantic! What tough luck I'm going through. But sigh...that's life.

Anyway, I should not be complaining actually. Of all the guys at webtv8, I am the one with least work. I mean, we have Wak who is the live wire of the team without which or perhaps with which, I guess all the rest would be...dead wires? (Hmm...does not sound good, does it?) Then, we have Zul as the Chief of Technical Matters, several other volunteers, and Roslan as the Brains. Now, reading that last bit, should I not then be the looks? No? Oh well...

Oops! I'm going far off from what I want to write; do forgive that crazy lovesick reporter wannabe cakapaje. OK, here it is then.

The other night Wak and I covered the Anak Kelantan Di Perantauan meet at Hotel Niko. The meet which had Tok Guru Nik Aziz and Dato' Husam Musa in attendance, was packed to the brims, and even had some of the audience clambering to the stage to make more room for those outside. Had one been present that night, one would be forgiven to think that PAS had already won all the 60 seats it is contesting in the Parliament; such was the fervor one would have felt that night. It was, in other words, exhilarating! Even the media - including some foreign house - was in full force, though it does make one wonder why when some mere snippets of the night would actually be shown by them, if they are ever at all.

Arriving at the event early allowed Wak and cakapaje to get several attendees to voice their opinion and support for the Kelantan PAS State Government there, which the video is made available here. We did manage to get quite a handful of them and were satisfied about it, and Wak then prepared the camera to shoot the night's event while cakapaje began assuming his clown role but for the presence of TV3, which could have led to a fist fight between us. Anyway, cakapaje realised he was supposed to be a clown and not a boxer, left the hall after having the last words. And that, is where the story actually begins.

Mingling around with the crowd is preferably a much better time spent rather than sitting rigid like a fool in the packed hall. Undoubtedly the speakers had more than mere interesting words to say, but that cakapaje just could not find it in him to be a mere listener. And was he glad he was outside, for there were celebrity writers all around!

While moving from one small party to another, cakapaje himself somehow was made to feel like a celebrity - celebrity clown, that is. Anyway, it was during that process he managed to pick up some rather juicy bits of election...shall we say, gossip? But, coming from these writers who would put their integrity at stake for the information they have, let us not then. So let us start off with the small bits first:

* A certain high ranking person who is not contesting may be appointed as a senator. Hmm...not much of a story there.

* Sometime later this year, 2 high ranking non-celebrities of the highest order may be embroiled in a bitter duel. Irrespective of the outcome, the political party they lead may implode leading to a repeat of history sometime in 1987-88. But this is an open secret already.

* A certain infamous politician from Rembau WAS caught by the Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor for being too close - physically speaking - to a voluptuous celebrity. Though many were made aware of the case, it was given a real hush hush job by the media as it indirectly involves an infamous sleepy man. Reminds one of another case involving someone from Pahang who was caught in the same situation and one which led to the resignation of several officers of a Religious Department, does it not?

* But the juiciest story of them all, should be this: a certain infamous son in law of an infamous father in law, and who was said to have graduated from a certain prestigious University in the United Kingdom, did not actually graduate at all! It seem, he was expelled sometime during the 2nd year of his studies there. Now, this may be a true case of a lilliputian mind!

So, there you go. There's more, in fact! But, all of them - even the above - cannot be substantiated not because the stories are not true, but that many heads will roll if they were as the government of the day is simply not honest, transparent or true. Thus, if one wish to have those stories above and more substantiated, the first thing one need to do is to vote be end out of the office. And if you do not know which party to vote for other than be end, then just vote for any party but them (be end).

Oh, by the way. If I go on writing like this, I might as well try to get an opening with URTV magazine; think they will accept me? Then again, nah...I don't like writing smuts.

The Lie, the Half-Truths and the Truth

Watch the video.

Quite recently, Tok Guru Nik Aziz's statement regarding the blatant foul play by ameno and be end in the General Election and regarding them as orangutan, was splashed over the ameno controlled media in Malaysia, and caused...a small uproar amongst the population (one wonder whether the millions that must have been spent was worth it, as not many people even noticed anything).

With media going full guns, several bloggers retaliated in return though the salvo distance may have not been far reaching. Surprisingly, one of the bloggers who fired in return is a Christian by pen name of Maverick, which make one wonders if the Malays in Malaysia truly understand story at hand, or were they just nodding to the tune of ameno? I take my hats off to Maverick.

Anyway, Alhamdulillah, I received this email from this guy here "Asyiqin Abdul Halim" (aasyiq5@yahoo.com) where the truth of the story is explained, and I must say, quite impressively as well. Please, do distribute the video.

By the way, there is an update of an earlier video which you might want to watch too. It, and this video can be found Kempen PRU ke-12.

2004 GE Revisited

Prior to the 2004 General Election, I never knew nor understood the role of the Polling Agent and Counting Agent, or PACA as it is generally known. In a GE, volunteers for each party have their own roles and responsibilities, each assigned to their specific duties by the persons in charge. Some of these responsibilities include: security, campaigners, logistic, PACA, communication, liaison, and perhaps several more which offhand I cannot remember. Sometimes the duties overlap each other, but most of the time the volunteers find themselves multi-tasking due to lack of funds and volunteers, except for the campaign volunteers which come in droves soon after the Parliament is dissolved.

In the 2004 GE, I found myself picked for PACA duty, along with 2 friends, Kashfullah and Azrin. Along with about 2 scores of other volunteers picked, we attended a 2hour course organised by PAS Kelana Jaya, and were briefed on our duty for the day, as well as a crash course on the laws and rulings of election day. Each of us then were issued identification tags as the immediate area surrounding each polling station is a restricted area; the voting public are allowed to enter but must leave immediately once they cast their vote.

For the 2004 GE Day, SPR had informed us that no political parties may erect their 'pondok panas' - though the public may check directly with the SPR counter present just outside the polling station, each contesting political parties are allowed to set up the 'pondok panas' to further assist the public identify the ballot box channel which SPR have assigned them to. This, would reduce the queue time and hence a convenience for all concerned. Apart from that, the 'pondok panas' also serve as the last canvassing point for the volunteers. However, a day prior to GE Day, we found ameno had already erected their 'pp' and we protested the matter to SPR, who, said they have just only rescinded the restriction order. The PAS Campaign Manager for the area immediately called for volunteers to build our 'pp'. At this point, it should be noted that though the PAS was vying for the Sri Setia Selangor State Assembly Seat, PKR, DAP and PSM members contributed their time and energy as well. Likewise should be noted for other areas where the opposition stood against the gargantuan be end machinery.

On the morning of GE Day, Kashfullah, Azrin and I arrived early to assist the 'pp' volunteers. All 3 of us were assigned to the same ballot box; as polling agents we were to observe the smooth flow of the electoral process from within, and protest any suspicious activity by any party, including SPR. Another 2 volunteers were assigned the duty of Counting Agent which formed the role of PACA. From 8am to 5pm when the Polling Station close, the 3 of us took turns, each on a 3hour shift; while one stood duty inside, the other 2 would assist the 'pp' outside. A point to note here: During the course of 7 days prior to GE Day, SPR had release 3 voters lists - one to all the contesting political parties; later another one but only to ameno; then on voting day, another list was issued to all political parties. This caused a major uproar but was ignored by SPR.

The day's business went smoothly and we were confident that our candidate, Mastura Mohamed, would stand an even chance and may even win convincingly. Surprisingly, voters turn out by 3pm was not high as expected. Little did we realise that the voters list incident would play a deciding factor in ameno's grand scheme of scams! And a scam it was as will be mentioned later.

At 4pm, we heard on the radio that due to a large confusion in the voting list in Selangor, SPR had extended the voting hours to 7pm - an extra 2 hours! Initially we did not know what to make of it, but was later informed by a legal adviser that the extension is in fact illegal! For SPR to extend the voting hours, they must get the consent of all contesting candidates, but such have not been the case. It was then surprising that the SPR Manager for the Polling Station there decided to defy the extension hours order and proceed to close the voting there. But that did not help to stop the fiasco from happening!

At our Polling Station, each of us began calling and sending messages to volunteers of other areas asking them to deny anyone from entering the polling stations after 5pm. At the same time, our Campaign Manager called our base and requested for more volunteers for the mayhem that was anticipated. At 5.30pm, near anarchy reigned within the state of Selangor.

At our Polling Station, perhaps in wanting not to exhibit their defiance openly, the Polling Station was purposely left wide open for the public to see that it is still operational. But the SPR staff manning the counter outside had already closed their books and had entered the hall. In other words, there was no one to issue any late voters with their voting slip, or to direct them to their appropriate ballot box! Without the voter slip, a member of the public simply cannot vote! But still, they came.

At one of the polling stations in Gombak where my cousin Azman was also a volunteer, there was a sudden surge of late comers numbering in thousands! Azman and other PAS volunteers there had to literally use their bodies to form a barricade or hold the gates of the station against the pushing crowd! Using a megaphone or a loudspeaker, the PAS Campaign Manager tried to reason with the crowd but it was getting nowhere. If I remember it well, several PAS volunteers there were even threatened with physical injury by the crowd. Then the Police came. But instead of restoring peace and order, they forced the PAS Volunteers to open the gate, and with it, a torrent of maddening confusion within the Polling Station there.

All throughout Selangor, similar incidents were reported though they may vary due to voter concentration.

At Sri Setia where I was, we were luckier as the expected crowd that came was only a trickle of about 30 latecomers. Kash and I initially stood at the entrance of the Polling Station, turning back those latecomers peacefully. But instead of heading home, they went to the ameno 'pp' and complaint to them. The ameno thugs there came and tried to force a way in but we stood our ground. The more than handful Policeman and women, sat idly a short distance away, perhaps not knowing what to do.

Again and again the thugs came like the waves of the sea. But again Kash and I - by then with several more PAS volunteers - stood our ground. Then, one of the thugs - perhaps the leader - furious at the situation, began to threaten us with bodily harm. And the 2 policemen that stood beside him, had a blank look on their faces.

At 6.30pm or so, we managed to close all the doors of the hall, leaving only one open and a PAS volunteer sat cross legged on the ground, his eyes blazing with fury, and that in itself was sufficient to turn back the other latecomers, including the leader of the thugs.

At Maghrib time, Kash and I stood guard while the other volunteers performed a jemaah prayer. It was only after everyone had finished their Maghrib prayers that we began to relax. But by that time too, ameno thugs had arrived in large numbers and were taunting us from outside. By then too, I received a text message that the PAS Terengganu government had fallen, and each of us weeped openly. Tuan Haji Ghazali, a businessman and a PAS volunteer, comforted all of us with recitals of the Al-Quran and zikir.

We waited till about 10pm before deciding it was safe to leave. By then, we had come to terms of the treachery of the SPR and ameno against the nation and people of Malaysia, and vowed to continue our struggle in a peaceful manner.

Several days later, we leaned that shambles of GE Day was due to those same latecomers voting in Terengganu and Kelantan early in the morning. Perhaps due to some miscalculation on SPR and ameno on the timing of their arrival back at Selangor, had SPR extend the voting hours here. How else could one explain for the huge surge of latecomers in many parts of Selangor? And that there was a highly irregular large voter turnout in Terengganu especially, reaching as high as 95%? The latter has never happened in the history of a democratic society anywhere in the entire world! Malaysia boleh?

InsyAllah, we will continue to stand our ground! Agi Idup Agi Nglaban!

Allah Akbar!

The Future Can Be A Frightening Spectre

Late yesterday afternoon while on the way to KL, I came across a Be End banner which reads as below which was put up by ameno gerak gempur:

"Jangan Jadi Pengkhianat Negara"

Initially I was incensed at such a statement as it actually intimidates the general public into thinking that voting for opposition parties is a crime. Since I did not have a still camera on hand, I used webtv8 camera and took video shots with several PKR members posing around the banner, and later handed the tape to webtv8 for them to put it up. Understandably, due to lack of manpower, they may only be able to put it up tomorrow; insyAllah they will put up the 10seconds or so shot in the appropriate slot. But my point is this:
If it is true Malaysia is a democratic country which practice a free election, then those ameno lilliputians and their be end stooges truly do not understand the very concept of democracy.

The Free Online Dictionary states:
de·moc·ra·cy (d-mkr-s)
n. pl. de·moc·ra·cies
1. Government by the people, exercised either directly or through elected representatives.
2. A political or social unit that has such a government.
3. The common people, considered as the primary source of political power.
4. Majority rule.
5. The principles of social equality and respect for the individual within a community.

Nowhere from the definition above mentioned that it is an act of treason to vote for any political parties, be they the incumbent or the opposition party. And I know no other country which practice democracy and yet intimidate its people into submission with such a cheap and lurid propaganda, except for Malaysia where the lilliputians think they are demi-gods (astaghfirullahhilazim).

To them, the prosperity and safety of Malaysians lies in their hands and no other, which is why in their feeble and sick minds they need the homage of Malaysians by voting for them. These lilliputians think that without them, Malaysia would disintegrate as a nation. Well, bull! They - these lilliputians - posses a mentality of a pharaoh during the times of Prophet Musa a.s. If you think not, then reflect back on Quranic verses where

1
The Pharaoh said: ‘I show you only that which I see; and I guide you to the right path.’” (Quran 40:29)

2
Has the story of Moses come to you? Behold, his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa: "Go to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds, "And say to him: Do you wish to be purified? And should I guide you to your Lord so that you may fear him?'" Then Moses showed [Pharaoh] the Great Sign (al-aya al-kubra). But he rejected it and disobeyed. Then he turned his back, striving hard [against God]. And he collected [his hosts] and made a proclamation, Saying: "I am your lord most high!" (ana rabbukum al-a'la) [Qur'an 79:15-24]

Forgive me though, I am not a scholar. Even then, if you have been watching the telly or reading the dailies (of which both I have not for quite a while), you may have noticed ameno officials including their top 2 goons saying "hanya ameno boleh...hanya ameno dapat." Have they forgotten that there is Allah The One and Only(Ahad), and that He alone can give to whom he is pleased with.

When I compare the mentality of the lilliputians to non-Muslims, I feel sad and humiliated.

Slightly off note: earlier today, Wak and I covered 2 interviews (Gwo Bern Loh of PKR, and Hannah Yeoh of DAP), a mini-ceramah and a press conference; all which will be put up tomorrow at webtv8, except maybe for Gwo, which is meant for CD circulation. But what I want to mention here is about the interview with Hannah.

Hannah is a 29year young Law graduate who during the course of our interview exuded a conviction to help make Malaysia a better place and free of corruption. Perhaps, one might think that she is naive and idealist if one were to listen to her and that she too may be corrupted once elected. Perhaps. But if so, why then did she join the opposition ranks and not one of the stooge parties withing be end? Would that not be a more logical choice of someone...anyone, who harbour personal ambition for power and glory? The opposition after all, has never even come close to dislodging the be end from power. So what other logical answer could there be?? Conviction, perhaps? But you be the judge yourself once the video has been put up. In the meantime, you can have a glimpse of her along and other opposition candidates in the video clip below, courtesy of webtv8.

Back to the main topic, ameno is very much afraid of losing its grips at the current moment. Apart from their infighting, their mismanagement of the country - wealth, freedom, safety - has been exposed by their very undoing. Day by day, more and more people are beginning to become politically conscious of their rights in a democratic country, and that those rights are being trampled upon with whim by ameno.

In the 2004 GE, ameno ferried thousands of voters from the west coast states namely Selangor, to Terengganu to vote them back to power. It was the presence of these voters which accounted for the unusually high voter-turnout during the voting day, with some constituency registering a voter-turnout of more than 95% - a feat which is unequaled in democratic countries worldwide. (InsyAllah, I will write my personal experience as one of the voting agents at the Kelana Jaya Parliamentary seat in 2004). Now, it seems ameno will be repeating this filthy strategy again.

At the Perantau meet earlier this afternoon at the Plaza Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Dato' Mustapha Ali revealed that ameno will this time ferry more than 80,000 voters from the west coast states to Terengganu and Kelantan, with the former being the prime target. The purpose: to vote ameno back to office as they did in the 2004 GE. Kelantan on the other hand - from a much earlier report - will be visited by more than 50,000 foreigners who either have or will, be given MyKad for their voting exercise.

My new fear is this: What awaits the future generation of Malaysians with more and more foreigners being given citizenship for the purpose of keeping ameno and their stooges in power? Apart from unabated corruption, what would be the consequence of a sudden and large admission of foreigner into Malaysia? Most importantly, who is actually committing treason here? Dare you speculate?
