Counting Minutes

As I write, the Alternative PAS-PKR-DAP has wrested Penang from the oppressive Be End, Allah Akkbar! Some 100 meters from my house, PKR had rented one of the shophouses there and turned it into their base for this area; every now and then, I can hear their cheers and jeers as results are announced, much like in a soccer game. But this is no game. The results of this General Election has a direct influence on the future of Malaysia. And insyAllah, it will be for the better, which ever way you look at it.

At the same time, TV3 - which has not been watched in this house for more than a month now - is continuously harping on BN victories in other seats, and hardly touching on Alternative's victories; a case of trying to delay the inevitable, perhaps. Take for example in Kelantan, PAS has, at this current time, won 31 out of the 45 State Assembly Seats there. Yet, the mainstream media are mulling over the results, as though that very action could affect the results there.

I am excited about the future prospects of Malaysia as I guess, many Malaysian are too. Let us all - irrespective of our political stand and belief - pray that the results will augur well for Malaysia.

Salam Kerp,

All through the program, I felt like puking when speaker after speakers were trying to show how intelligent they are by giving comments which either are stupid, or one which those lilliputians should have taken heed of before.
