Bad Connection

Last week Doc TA in Melaka who was complaining about bad connections. Now, these past couple of days, I'm suffering from it. Sometimes, it got to point of ridiculous, especially when one can't get to one's email boxes, be it yahoo! or Google. The last time this happened some months back, the TM Call Center said nothing is wrong with connections in Malaysia and that it might be some external problem; I was made to feel like a fool then. So, no way I'm going to complaint now until I can ascertain where the problem lies. To make matters worst tonight, the only TV series I like have been taken off the air.

Previous to Eureka, I only watch Spooks. But since they juggled the airtime, I was as lost as the 'Lost' series. Now, it seems I will have to make do without Eureka. Sigh. I'm beginning to think there's someone in Astro and TV3 who does not like me. I can't help feeling that way as every time I like a show, it mysteriously disappear; Stargate SG1, and Stargate Atlantis, 2 other shows I really dig, as well as Early Edition.

Anyway, I called shirzad last night to ask of his well being. Alhamdulillah, he is OK but rather busy with some projects. InsyAllah, next week he'll be able to blog again, he says. And he also asked me to convey his 'salam' to everyone.

Last but not least - especially for everyone in Selangor and KL - kindly do not forget the 6th July Protes Rally at Padang Timur PJ. InsyAllah, I'll be there donning webtv8's vest after going A.W.O.L. for a very long time. Hopefully, I will not come out limping as I did on 10-11.

kihkih...believe it or not brother, we faced the same woes since a couple of days ago. i thought i was alone on this till i called up streamyx service center and was told there was some problem with the port or whatever shit around this part of the world. last night was the worst loading a page took me hours. aku sempat berak but the page was basically the same when i left it.

and like you, this was what happened- my night got shittier when i found out my astro remote had gone caput. if thats not bad enough, the channel last switched to Disney Playhouse. if you think thats bad enough you're my man. on top of all these, i was already on bed!! mati kutu den satu malam.

One thing that makes me mad about astro is their package. You do not have much choice, which also result in subscribing unneeded channels. Then if they have new good channels, they air it for free, and suddenly its off without your knowledge and you have to susbscibe a new package if you want to continue watching that channel. Sneaky. Oh well.... :(

But lately I don't watch much TV, hardly, so, not a problem anymore.:)

Salam Shah,
Connection was bad even in Labuan. Fortunately everything is OK now.

Wa'alaikumusalam snowflake,

Hmm...UTorrent. My cousin has been asking me to do that too, but I just can't! Somehow, I find it uncomfortable watching TV or Movie on PC. I mean, a PC is for other things. No?

As for politics, you have to understand that there is party politics, and there is human politics. If you do no like the first, I truly understand. But if you say you do not like the latter then you do not understand what human politics is: the dispensing of justice and administration of a state, as well as welfare of the people of a nation, is what human politics is all about.

As a Muslim, we must believe that Politics cannot be separated from religion as the former is the executor of the latter. To believe otherwise, would then make one into a secular person. Hablum minAllah, Hablum Minannas.

Salam Cikgu,

InsyAllah, I'll keep you posted. That is, off course, if I don't find myself rushed to the hospital lah! ;)

Wa'alaikumusalam ydiana,

Well, apart from (previously) Eureka and perhaps a movie or 2, I hardly watch TV too.

I've got some bad news for Malaysians, I'm afraid. Supposedly by the year 2015, there will be no more terrestrial or free TV. MCMC is looking into turning everything into digital and hence, we will have to buy decoders to watch...maybe even RTM channels!

Salam kerpie,

Yo bro, you really had a terrible time, I'm sorry to note. But, take a look at the brighter side, at least all your kutu are dead, lol!

Wa'alaikumusalam Pak Zawi,

Even in Labuan? And you are still there? Hmm...how then, can Labuan be an offshore financial center with a bad connection? I mean, international banks and financial houses have a dire need to be connected. Then again, perhaps their Tier 1 lines are not affected.

(.... watching TV or Movie on PC. I mean, a PC is for other things. No?)

Here a hint. Buy a ps3 or an LCD TV. You can transfer the movie to the PS3 and play from there or connect your PC to the LCD for your viewing pleasure. Isn't technology wonderful?

(..then you do not understand what human politics is: the dispensing of justice and administration of a state..)
I am glad that you do and I am glad that you care for the people. A simple maxim taught me has always been that charity begins at home. I have to provide for my family and then those closer. What good does it do for them and for me to be in the midst of a million people? Will they care enough to feed my family should anything happen to me? Will you?

(Hablum minAllah, Hablum Minannas)

Aye, technology is wonderful. Unfortunately, it comes at a price that some may not afford, or do not want to.

Snow, we live in a world which is a community. By sharing the woes of the people, insyAllah, they too will share your woes. Even if they do not, Allah s.w.t. is Most Just and Most Compassionate. Most importantly, we do what we need to do in His name.

While I share your sentiment on Yahuds, we are living in a world which they now govern via economy and media. How else can we oppose them if we are not politically strong? But even them, I learned from a pious man, that only 2 tribes of yahuds which must distance ourselves. Which? I have not finished learning yet.

Here's food for thought: To defeat your enemy, you must know them.
